Classical and Modern (Mainsteream) Artists

Lubna Agha (Mo Ali)
Amongst the foremost contemporary American-Pakistani artists is Lubna Agha, whose images challenge the immovable qualities of traditional Islamic art and artifacts to provide a vibrant and ephemeral experience of two contradictory themes — infinity and oneness.

Marshall Arisman (Bill McConkey)
The paintings and drawings of Marshall Arisman have been widely exhibited, both internationally and nationally. His work may be seen in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, at the National Museum of American Art and the Smithsonian Institution, as well as in many private and corporate collections.

Saul Bass (Nemons)
One of the great graphic designers of the mid-20th century but perhaps the undisputed master of film title design.

Aubrey Beardsley (Chris Askham, Nemons)
Aubrey Beardsley was unknown in 1892. By the time of his death in 1898, a mere six years, he had broken through the Victorian unconscious and hurled England into the 20th century. Many of his drawing first made their appearance in books or magazines with relatively limited subscription. Despite this, his erotic, humorous, and haunting drawings came to be popular and have been for more than a hundred years.

Georges Braque (JK Wodward)
A major 20th century French painter and sculptor who, along with Pablo Picasso, developed the art movement known as Cubism.

Jason Brooks (Chris Askham)

Dean Cornwell (Armand Cabrera)

• Salvador Dali (Duncan Long)
Dali was originally a leader of the Surrealist Movement. His painting, The Persistance of Memory, with the soft or melting watches is still one of the best-known surrealist works. Whether working from pure inspiration or on a commissioned illustration, Dali's matchless insight and symbolic complexity are apparent. Above all, Dali was a superb draftsman. His excellence as a creative artist will always set a standard for the art of the twentieth century.
